Throughout the almost two decades Naked Cyber Cafe has been around, we’ve run into a number of local “Friends of the Cafe” who have businesses in the area, and who we’d recommend.

Mboya Nicholson is a wildly talented jazz pianist and we’re fortunate to count him as a good friend of the cafe.
In addition to doing fairly regular shows at Naked Cyber Cafe, he’s around Edmonton in other venues, has a busy schedule writing songs, doing videos for his YouTube channel, and even finds time to teach.
Also he’s at the cafe regularly in the evenings chatting, sharing his sense of humor and even tickling the ivories on our baby grand.

We recently had the pleasure of meeting Tim Parnett of MightyWheels.ca who is doing some great work for promoting accessibility in Edmonton.

Hi, my names Tim Parnett, I’m an independent advocate with a team of various helper, just trying to help people who use wheels, I created Mightywheels.ca Canada’s first wheel accessibility team. We stand up for everyone, we bring attention to problem area’s in your community, so everyone can access this beautiful city. This free service can be used by anyone, parents pushing baby strollers, people using walking aids or wheelchairs like my self. Our mission is to help bring much needed attention to difficulties people face every day.We want equal accessibility, so we can all access our beautiful city. I am hoping to raise awareness for the struggles that people with wheels face everyday. We’ll appreciate any help that comes our way.

A local phenomenon, this dynamic group of young people are making waves in Edmonton’s local music community.
They have amassed quite a group of talented local musicians, and book them in a variety of venues around town including Naked Cyber Cafe.
